The industry’s only plug-and-play solution to air leakage in buildings.
When our team of certified technicians arrive at your site, they will begin setting up the key pieces of equipment needed to undertake the seal which includes:
Everything is taken through pre-test checks to ensure they interconnect correctly, and much of our kit is Wi-Fi enabled for ease of connection.
Preparation can take up to 60% of the overall time our team are with you on-site. Once everything is ready, completing the seal can take as little as 60 minutes.
Our team will undertake a pre-seal air tightness test to record the initial leakage value of your building. They will then pressurise it to a constant 100Pa so the sealant application can begin.
The sealing stations provide real-time updates to our computer system. This controls how much sealant is sprayed into each area of your building and moderates its flow and pressure to ensure every room is sealed to the same level.
Following the sealing process from outside your building’s envelope, our team will check the progress and ensure all areas of unwanted leakage are sealed. This works much like using a smoke pen in a traditional air test but goes further by sealing the leaks after identifying them!
Any leakage points larger than ½”, or 12mm, can be easily found in the same way as smoke being drawn through leaks, which will be sealed manually alongside the AeroBarrier process.
As the AeroBarrier system provides real-time updates about the progression of the seal, it is simple to switch the sealing stations on or off once the targeted air leakage has been reached. If you are on-site during your seal, our team will talk you through this final step as it happens.
Your building will be kept under pressure until the remaining atomised sealant has ‘overshot’ the goal air tightness level. This is important so our team can be certain that when they take the final test your building will beat any certification or Building Regulations requirements.
A final post-seal air tightness test will then be recorded which produces an in-house certificate to verify your building’s envelope leakage.
